Europe’s leading Blues and Rock publication, Classic Rock’s The Blues Magazine, called Danny a “National Blues Treasure”, a title that he has worked tirelessly and passionately to earn. Riding high on the European blues scene for over a decade, yet still only 35, Danny has carved a name for himself the old-fashioned way having played over 2000 club and festival shows to his many fans around the world and is acknowledged by those in the business as one of the cream of the crop. Following many sold out club tours across Europe and numerous major festival appearances that have seen the power trio perform on the same bill as such names as Joe Cocker, Carlos Santana, Buddy Guy and Peter Green to mention a few; Danny and his band have steadily carved a huge and loyal fan base around the world.
'A fantastic guitar player… able to take a Fender Stratocaster and really make it sing…'- Joe Bonamassa
The Husky Tones
Husky Tones’ punk blues style favours the common rawness, simplicity and emotion shared between the punk and blues genres. Live it is delivered by the unique set up of a female drummer singer Victoria Bourne and guitarist Chris Harper. Their approach to punk blues mirrors what they love as audience members: inventive, individual and fully aware of tradition without being a slave to it. Since the release of their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Time for a Change’ in 2015 they have been making new friends and fans performing around the UK. Their songs have been played on national radio including by Paul Jones on BBC Radio Two (Who is also performing at the Town Hall!)
'Fine album of contemporary punk blues delivered with energy, attitude, anger and sometimes primal rage.' - Blues Matters
